LINK Transit, the valley’s public transportation system, is kicking off the budgeting process with a workshop being held today at Columbia Station. With some $10 million on the line, LINK has a lot riding on working out a good budget. Luckily, things are looking good, says LINK General Manager Richard Derock.
Derock said LINK is even considering lowering some fares, though that is just in the preliminary discussion phase. He added that fast chargers have finally been installed for the Current line of electric trolleys. The modern battery systems should be installed on those vehicles by spring.
