Lake Wenatchee Snow Ate Up County Overtime

January 01, 2013

The worst of the

disaster that struck the Lake Wenatchee area has passed. Power is back on for all but the final few, and roads

have been cleared of the hundreds of falling trees that made work so hazardous for public works and PUD crews.

The long hours put in by county crews finally paid off. But those hours

also ate up the county’s entire overtime budget. And there is a lot of winter clean up still

       Isaac Kaplan-Woolner

asked Chelan County Commissioner Keith Goehner to talk about the Lake Wenatchee and Plain storms, and their impact

on county finances.
