Lake Wenatchee Fire Burns Four Homes, Still Creeping But Active

 A fast-moving fire last night charred 4 homes near Lake



Residents reported the fire around

6:30 last night, said Chelan County Undersherrif John Wisemore. The fire initially ran fast to the Northeast,

towards the Lake Wenatchee Highway.

Over 100 firefighters and two water-dropping helicopters assisted in the effort, which claimed 4 homes to the

flames. Those crews will continue to work today. As of Saturday morning, about 40 homes are under a least-serious

“Level 1” evacuation advisory.


The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
