Healthy Youth Survey Shows Less Smoking and Drinking, Higher Depression for Teens
March 18, 2013
The latest healthy youth survey, which tracks trends among Washington’s young every 2 years, is a mixed bag. On the one hand, alcohol and tobacco use is down. But marijuana use remains unchanged and teens are reporting less fear of the drug. Also, teenagers are reporting more feelings of depression.
To talk more about the survey, KOHO’s Isaac Kaplan-Woolner spoke with Washington State Secretary of Health Mary Selecky.
