It's a heated topic here in Washington state – the labeling of genetically engineered foods. A state initiative is on the ballot this fall that would mandate any products made of or containing genetically engineered foods to carry a special stamp or sign at the grocery store. In this first installment of a three part series on Initiative 522, our own Dan Langager speaks with representatives from the two opposed campaigns fighting for and against the new referendum.
Tune in to KOHO 101.1 tomorrow for part two of the series when Dan talks with a local farmer and legislator for a look at how this initiative will affect farmers and food producers.
