First Time Homebuyers Tax Credit Set to Expire November 30th

the know say Washington State’s housing market has benefited from the Federal Government’s 8-thousand

dollar first-time homebuyer tax credit. The program is set to expire November 30th. Congress is

currently considering an extension which many see as critical to spurring economic recovery. Greg Wright is a

Wenatchee area realtor who is the current president of Washington Realtors. Wright spoke with Wenatchee Bureau

Chief Steve Hair about the program and its impact on the real estate market. Washington Realtors represents over

18-thousand Real Estate professionals statewide. Wright is employed by John’s Real Estate Corp. which has

offices in Leavenworth and East Wenatchee.
