In June, KOHO News covered the story of Native American bones uncovered near Trinidad in Grant County. While the story certainly piqued interest at the time, not many details have come out about the bones, the site, or what steps Native Americans are taking to protect them.
Until now, that is.
Rod Molzahn isn’t only our resident local historian, he also has deep roots in the community and a deep respect for the traditions of our region’s earliest inhabitants. In this week’s Legends & Legacies, Rod talks about the likely tribe the person belonged to, and tries to answer some of the questions we have about the find.
