Containment Expected On 23,000 Acre Taylor Bridge Fire Today
August 20, 2012
Mother Nature cooperated, but firefighters still couldn’t completely contain the Taylor Bridge fire, burning east of Cle Elum. Firefighters said last week they hoped to announce full containment of the just shy of 22,000 acre plus fire by this weekend, but now estimate full containment to happen sometime Monday. Crews caught a break Saturday and Sunday when expected lightning storms did not materialize, and conditions remained relatively calm.
KOHO’s Clint Strand talked with Fire Information Officer Mick Mueller on Monday’s KOHO Morning Show for the latest.
