The City’s

Planning Director, Steve King facilitated the meeting which was organized for the purpose of engaging members of

the community in the market planning effort. The property located along the riverside at the foot of Orondo Street

commercial developers, hash out a development agreement for the Market. And, while the project is a going concern

its anything but a done deal and King says the devil’s in the details and that’s where the Community will play a

major part . .

The meeting was held at the North Central Regional Library, Right across the street from

the parking lot where the Wenatchee Valley Farmers Market currently resides. Market Manager Gayla Toften, owner of

Gayla’s Bakery, sees the Pybus Market as a manna from heaven . .

Also attending the meeting, longtime

Downtown Wenatchee businessman Dave Gellatly who is a strong supporter of the Pybus Project and who will also join

in the planning effort . .

The City is hoping to complete its analysis by December at which time the City

Council can make its final decision on the fate of the Pybus market. If everything pencils out, Steve King said

site development could occur next year.
