Arts Corner The Last Bison

March 25, 2013

The Last Bison are a true family band. Lead singer and songwriter Ben Hardesty is joined on stage by

his sister and his father, his childhood best friend and his brother, a young woman on fiddle who never stops

smiling, and a cello player who has started dating Hardesty’s sister.

Hailing from Virginia, The Last Bison weaves biblical imagery

throughout their indie folk sound. They are a young band, several members not yet 21 years old. But they recently

signed to a major record label and are in the midst of a cross country tour. Isaac caught up with Ben Hardesty

before their show in Wenatchee on Friday.
