On Wednesday KOHO Radio presented a show at Caffe Mela in Wenatchee that was the biggest show the venue has ever seen. The band, Pickwick, beat their own record for a packed house at Mela set on this past New Year’s eve.
For this week’s Arts Corner, Isaac Kaplan-Woolner spent a few minutes with Pickwick’s dynamic front man Galen Disston before the show. The final mixdown of the live recording of Wednesday’s show were not available by presstime, so the music heard in this piece is from Pickwick’s performance in Johnny’s Bike Shop at this year’s SXSW (South by Southwest) in Austin. They hope to have a self-produced full length album out in the spring.
