Seattle band Motopony is back from their first major national tour and in the studio working on their sophomore album. Their single “King of Diamonds” was picked up in both television and film, and the album was critically acclaimed across the country.
Motopony played a free show in Wenatchee, sponsored by KOHO Radio, on Friday, June 22nd. Rain showers moved the perfomance indoors from Centennial Park to Caffe Mela. Isaac Kaplan-Woolner interviewed lead singer Daniel Blue before the show to talk about the collapse of the label they had signed to, how to make it as an indie band, gender identity, and what energy is going into the new album.
