All aboard the “Cold Train”!

A new rail freight business starting up next month out of the Port of Quincy’s new Intermodel freight facility could be a boon to Central Washington’s tree fruit industry. A Kansas City-based company, Rail Logistics, plans to start the “Cold Train” which will offer a direct-rail service using 53-foot long refrigerated shipping containers to move apples, cherries and other produce to Chicago.
