Apple Harvest Could Mean Big Returns

August 21, 2012

    It’s certainly hot out there, but

just ask the kids: fall is right around the corner. Fall of course brings more than the return of the school year;

it also brings the harvest of the state’s most valuable crop.
    Yes, the apples are

starting to come off the trees, and soon the harvest will be in full swing. To get a look at what could be a very

lucrative year for growers, Isaac Kaplan-Woolner called the WA Apple Commission.     President Todd

Fryhover said with Michigan and New York struggling with their crop this year, Washington growers could see very

good returns this year.
