A Second Wildfire Breaks Out Tuesday

"font-size: 14pt">While crews were demobilizing from the Nahahum Canyon wildfire Yesterday two more were sparked

Tuesday afternoon. 

A lightning sparked brush fire on Badger Mountain in Douglas County spread

to over 30 acres of mostly dry wheatland. Douglas County District 2, Waterville and Chelan County crews responded.

The fire was first reported around 4:45 pm this afternoon. There were no reports of any structure threat. A second

alarm was sounded just before 7pm.

Earlier in the day a brush fire broke out in the Navarre Coulee Road

area. The fire grew to about 50 acres, but last report fire crews were making good progress. It was a massive

response to the populated area with Three helicopters, numerous ground resources crews, bulldozer, and engines.The

Navarre Coulee fire was a shared command between Forest Service, DNR and Entiat Fire District.
