Snowy Owl Theater At age 13, Emily Bear is one of the most astonishing and prolific musical talents of our time – composing, orchestrating, and performing in an astonishingly (remarkable) diverse collection of styles. She has performed at many of the world’s most famous venues including Carnegie Hall, the White House, Lincoln Center, Montreux Jazz Festival, and Blue Note, among others. Historical Walking Tour of Leavenworth

October 10, 2015    Meet at 10:00 a.m.

The historical walking tour will be in the downtown area and you will learn about the history of our town. How did we became a town, how it changed and when and why we are Bavarian now. Did you know Safeway was on front St. or we had a Dairy and car dealership in town? Come and walk with us on April 11, 10 am at the Upper Valley Museum. The tour will be about 1-2 hours long on flat ground. There will be a donation of $3. The tours are sponsored by the Museum.

Young Pianist Camp

ABOUT This Icicle Creek Center for the Arts program welcomes young aspiring pianists, ages 13-18 years, for a week long session of individual lessons, practice, masterclasses and workshops, inspiring nature hikes in the spectacular Cascade Mountains, and outings to the Bavarian Village of Leavenworth. Piano Camp is open to intermediate and advanced pianists who have had at least five years of private lessons and have studied and performed standard repertoire of equal or greater difficulty to: Bach, Inventions Movements of Classical sonatas of Haydn, Mozart or Beethoven Chopin, Preludes, Waltzes or Nocturnes 2015 Faculty Dr. Oksana Ezhokina (Program Director and Chair of Piano Studies, Pacific Lutheran University) and Dr. Naomi Niskala (Professor of Piano, Susquehanna University, PA) DAILY SCHEDULE (subject to change) 8:00 – 9:00 Breakfast 9:00 – 11:00 Lessons/Individual Practice 11:00 – 12:00 Free Time/Activities with Counselors 12:00 – 1:00 Lunch 1:00 – 3:00 Group Sessions/Masterclasses 3:30 – 5:30 Lessons//Individual Practice 6:00 – 7:00 Dinner 7:00 – 9:00 Organized Group Activities/Games TUITION Overnight Camp: $950 (all-inclusive - tuition, all meals, room & board) Day Camp: $550 (includes tuition and lunches) SCHOLARSHIPS A number of need-based scholarships will be given out to deserving students.
