Adult Piano Retreats - October Session

Icicle Creek Center for the Arts offers adult, amateur pianists an exciting opportunity to experience four memorable days of world-class instruction and performance in a spectacular retreat setting in the Cascade Mountains near Leavenworth, Washington. The program is designed to include scheduled private lessons, private practice, master classes, individualized movement assessments, group Alexander Technique sessions, special topics, gourmet dining, optional outdoor activities and a faculty concert in the new Snowy Owl Recital Hall. No audition necessary. Limited to 12 participants Tuition: $600 per person per retreat (includes 3 private lessons, 1 ticket to faculty concert, 2 master classes, 3 special topic sessions, individualized physical assessments and optional sessions with on-site , licensed massage therapist (by appointment only)) Lodging (optional): First come, first served basis. Once cabins are filled, alternate lodging in the area is available to you at your own expense. $100/night single occupancy, $50/night double occupancy in cabins at the Icicle Creek Center for the Arts. Limited spaces – first come first served basis. Meals (optional): $210 (includes tax and gratuity) for two breakfasts and one dinner at Sleeping Lady's King Fisher Dining Lodge; three, exclusive, catered candlelight dinners in Canyon Wren Recital Hall. (Not included are three lunches and two breakfasts.) Other no-host options include conveniently located O’Grady’s Pantry and numerous restaurants/delicatessens in nearby downtown Leavenworth. Sleeping Lady’s Grotto bar available for cocktail hour and evening festivities (no host) and is within walking distance. Formed around the soulful song writing and voice of Markus Hoyer and the bass acrobatics and harmonies of his brother Joel, the brothers gathered their favorite musicians to form a powerfully funky band. "Frankenstein" showing at Icicle Creek Center for the Arts

Rebroadcast from the National Theatre in London to the Snowy Owl Screen, Johnny Lee Miller and Benedict Cumberbatch star as the Monster and Frankenstein in this brilliant and very scary stage adaptation of Shelly’s classic. Kairos Quartet at Icicle Creek Center for the Arts

Carrie Rehkopf & Denise Dillenbeck, violin; Timothy Betts, viola; and John Michel, cello, perform Beethoven op. 18, no. 5, Schnittke Polka, and Walton Quartet. The Kairos Quartet, established in 1993, has been the quartet-in-residence at Central Washington University since 1998. Violinists Carrie Rehkopf and Denise Dillenbeck, violist Timothy Betts, and cellist John Michel have extensive chamber music experience and have toured internationally. In addition to traditional concert performances, the Kairos Quartet is committed to educational outreach and to performing in unlikely venues in which they seek to break down the barriers between audience and performers.
