style="">       Imagine you go to another country and adopt a child. Then

imagine you are told your home country has suspended adoptions and you cannot get a visa to bring your new child

home. That is the reality for one local woman.

Jennifer Lund has been caught in limbo in Nepal for three months now with her adopted son Pukar.

style="text-indent: 0.5in;" class="MsoNormal">The

government suspended adoptions to Nepal this fall, making it impossible for Americans already in Nepal with

adopted children to bring them back to US soil.

       Lund never expected to have

to wait so long to bring her son home, and the process has depleted her resources. So friends, colleagues and

neighbors gathered Friday at the Gypsy Café in Leavenworth to raise funds to help sustain Jenni and Pukar

while their case makes its way through the extensive red tape.
