You’d think that after two months of a strict potato-only diet
that Chris Voigt might
crave something else to eat. Think again.
The spokesman for the Washington State Potato Commission started
the diet 60 days ago as a publicity stunt designed to demonstrate the tuber’s nutritional value. Voigt is hoping
to convince the US Department of Agriculture to reverse its decision to eliminate potatoes from its list of food
items for the Federal Women’s, Infant and Children program. Tuesday marks the end of Voigt’s all-spud diet and he
was asked by Wenatchee Bureau Chief Steve Hair what he planned to eat for breakfast . .
