A Chelan County Regional Jail corrections officer has been arrested on corruption related charges. Wenatchee Police arrested 40 year old Charles Storlie on suspicion of Bribery, Forgery, Complicity to Escape in the 1st Degree , Introduction of Contraband and Official Misconduct. Storlie is a long-time employee of the Regional Justice Center and had most recently worked the overnight shift in the jail annex. Regional Justice Center Deputy Director, Ron Wineinger says the investigation focused on Storlie’s activities there over the last several months… Wineinger would not go into the specific charges relating to the investigation. But according to a news release issued by the Wenatchee Police Department The bribery charges stem from Storlie allegedly accepting money on at least two occasions in return for favors granted to inmates under his control. Police say the Introduction of Contraband charges center on Storlie’s allowing food and tobacco items into the jail annex while he was working there. The Complicity to Escape charge stems from his decision to release an inmate early to the public, without any authorization from his superiors.
