Plans for a public vote to raise the sales tax to pay off the Town Toyota Center construction loan are on hold. That’s according to Public Facilities District Board Chair, Joe Jarvis. The PFD board had proposed a February election to decide if the sales tax should be increased by point-two percent to help pay off the debt. Jarvis and Arena General manager, Mark Miller have cancelled their scheduled meetings with several cities and Commissioners from Chelan and Douglas Counties until the Wenatchee City Council reaches concensus on a debt service plan. Wenatchee Bureau Chief Steve Hair reports on this developing story. . .
