might call it Wildland Firefighting 101. .Each year the Okanogan/Wenatchee National Forest hosts the interagency

fire school. The weeklong course of instruction teaches students the basic fundamentals they need to become

wildland firefighters. For trainees it’s a grueling week of intense instruction. This year the training was

conducted at The Confluence Technology Center in Wenatchee. Steve Hair dropped by the facility last week and he

had a chance to meet with some of the students and instructors.
