Are small rural school districts at a disadvantage when it comes to competing for Federal education reform dollars? One of North Central Washington’s top school officials thinks so. Monday was the deadline for districts to say if they would participate in the so-called Race to the Top grant process. Over 250 of our state’s 295 school districts have signed on to the state’s application for 250 million dollars in Federal funding.
