Is your 5-year-old adequately prepared for kindergarten? Is he or she just as prepared as all of Washington’s tots? The answer may be no, according to state early education officials. They say there are problems with programs that prepare young children for their school days, and access to those programs is not equal. So they have presented a plan to Governor Gregoire to improve early education, despite the economic downturn.
