Correction: Farrar headed to Spain

Wenatchee’s Tyler Farrar will not compete in the Tour of Missouri cycling race from Sept. 7-13. He will instead be riding in the Tour of Spain from Aug. 29-Sept. 20. A story on Page B1 Thursday, based on information from the Tour of Missouri Web site, was incorrect.

Party celebrates miracle child who came back to life

ROCKY REACH DAM — Trey Thrift is known as the miracle child. The word “Miracle” was written in bold letters on the back of his T-shirt. More than 100 people showed up for his open “Celebration of Life” party at the Rocky Reach Dam picnic area Thursday. Others at the party had T-shirts identifying them as mom, dad, brother (two of them), auntie, grandma and so on: all part of the miracle family. Others came to meet or play with Trey or meet his family for the first time.
